Considering Home Education

RESOURCES

About G.R.A.C.E. Home Educators Association
G.R.A.C.E. is a unique home education support group serving Indiana homeschool families in Greene and Sullivan counties. We are an inclusive, Christian group with a non-denominational statement of faith. Home educators with differing philosophies of faith are welcome to join as long as they respect our statement of faith and do not violate it's contents or our code of conduct while participating in group activities. G.R.A.C.E. is presided over by five board members. One parent per family is required to aid and assist the group by serving on a committee. We are sensitive to the needs of our familes and we are cautious not to stress them with overwhelming duties. It is our goal to provide fellowship and enrichment to area homeschoolers while keeping high moral and character standards.

Our Purpose
The purpose of G.R.A.C.E. Home Educators Association is to provide the following services to member families:

* encourage mutual support and fellowship among
home educators

* expand educational opportunities

* share resources, ideas, curriculum, ect.

* encourage social and educational activities

* provide prospective homeschoolers with
information and encouragement

* promote the concept of home education within the
community

* provide legislative information on the local,
state, and national levels on issues that
affect the home school family

G.R.A.C.E. Statement of Faith
1. We believe the Bible to be the inspired, authoritative Word of God. (2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter
1:21)

2. We believe that there is one God, eternally
existent in three persons: the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Jesus is co-equal and co-eternal with God the Father. (Genesis 1:1; John 10:30, 37-38)

3. We believe in the virgin birth, sinless life, and vicarious and atoning death of Jesus Christ. We believe in His literal bodily resurrection and ascension. We believe He is now seated on the right hand of God the Father, where He constantly makes intercession for His followers. We believe in His
imminent, literal, personal, public, powerful return, at which time He will judge the world according to righteousness. (Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:23; Luke 1:35; John 2:11,11:25; Acts 1:11; Colossians 1:14; Hebrews 4:15,7:25; Revelation 19:11-16)

4. We believe that man is sinful by nature and that regeneration by the Holy Spirit is an absolute necessity for his salvation, which is initiated and
accomplished by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. (Romans 3:19,23; John 3:16,5:24; Ephesians 2:8-9; Titus 3:5-6)

5. We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; those who are saved unto life and those who are lost unto eternal damnation. (John 5:28-29)
